1. Who We Are
Vectrod is an online font design and editing platform ("the Service"). References to "we", "us", or "our" refer to the operators of Vectrod. References to "you" or "your" refer to users of the Service. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the personal information we collect when you use our platform.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account Information
When you register or sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture URL from your Google account. If you register with email/password, we store only your email address and a secure hashed version of your password.
Username
If you choose to set a username during onboarding, it is stored in our database and displayed on your profile.
Font Projects
When you save a project, we store the project data (glyph paths, settings, project name) in our database associated with your account. This data is used solely to display your projects back to you.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymised usage information such as which tools you use and general interaction patterns. This data does not identify you personally and is used to improve the Service.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser cookies for authentication session management (via Supabase). We also use localStorage for temporary data like current unsaved project state. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies unless you consent.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account
- Save and retrieve your font projects
- Send essential service emails (e.g. email verification, password reset)
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services to operate. Each processes data according to their own privacy policies:
Supabase
Database, authentication, and file storage
Google OAuth
Third-party sign-in (only if you choose to sign in with Google)
We do not share your personal data with advertising networks, data brokers, or any other parties for commercial purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and saved projects for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and font projects from our active databases within 30 days. Some anonymised, non-identifying data may be retained for analytical purposes. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days after deletion.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / KVKK)
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Correct inaccurate or incomplete data

Request deletion of your personal data

Receive your data in a machine-readable format

Object to certain types of processing

Ask us to limit how we use your data
To exercise any of these rights, you can delete your account from the Settings page. For other requests, contact us once we publish our contact email address.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and row-level security policies on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
